Suresh lost his leg in an accident and with it, he thought he had lost his future. He felt like a burden to his family. Through our skill development program and a prosthetic limb funded by our donors, Suresh learned computer skills. Today, he works from home and is the primary earner for his family. “This prosthetic isn’t just a leg,” he told us. “It’s my confidence. It’s my freedom.” Empowerment is not charity; it is the act of recognizing the incredible strength and potential that exists in every single person.
